Yesterday the Dr. Phil show was focused on MRSA. With many disabled people ill, in and out of hopsitals, some with operations, others with wounds or open sores, I thought it was time to give us all some good information about MRSA.

Below is a 5 page website about MRSA (in addition to the Dr. Phil web site), the new superbug that is super resistent to most antibiotics. What was emphasized most on the Dr. Phil show is teaching the whole family to wash hands often, when cleaning or in hotel rooms, don't forget to clean the door knobs, the faucets and other places that multiple people touch, athletes should shower immediately after practice and take their equipment home each night to clean it. Any open sores or wounds you and your family may have, keep it treated and covered to prevent it coming in touch with a potential MRSA surface or a person with MRSA and if you see any potential troubling signs, have a doctor take a look at any wounds or sores.

Also, the CDC (The Center for Disease Control) has not placed mandatory regulations on our hospitals to be active in constantly checking for and instituting preventative measures against MRSA So IT IS VOLUNTARY that hospitals put rules and regulations in place to continuously measure for MRSA and then drill down their practices to reduce the level of contamination of patients to MRSA,
