I got really mad. I received an e-mail from a member of a disabled group I belong to that meets locally and that person described the political candidate she liked and then told me to vote for that candidate. What nerve, what brass, what absolute bull!!!! What came across is that this disabled person thought so little of the rest of us disabled people when it came to making up our own minds in voting. It was as if she thought we were incompetent, unable to sort through information and select the candidate we would vote for and only she had the "power and intelligence" to direct us to the right candidate to vote for??

Well, I sent her a blistering e-mail. I try to promote disabled people as intelligent and independent people as we strive every day with ailments and no matter how hard, we succeed in getting through that day. And I hope we promote each other because we're really good people. But I really dislike disabled people that do stuff like this to other disabled. I'll be talking to her at the disabled group meeting and get her stopped from using the disabled group e-mail list for crap like that. This is when I need to tell my cats to start the catapult with the litter box cookies (litter box cookies is my nice name for their litter box scoopings).

Hi Belinda: I agree it is gall--rolled up in a whole lot of disregard and disrespect for the disabled. It's also nice that I have two willing cat accomplices!!!

I've had a lot of people try tell me what to because of my Epilepsy.JUst because I'm different.

But than I've showed them I know more about certain things and they don't like to admit to that.

They won't admit to there drug problems.

Hi Belinda, some people feel a need to control disabled people, as if we are a lesser species in the universe. I even switched doctors because the doctor I had was listening to me but not hearing what I was saying so he did nothing about the symptoms I had. A new doctor did blood work and found the problems. That's another form--that we aren't worth listening to. Ditch that!!!
