What a surprise when I learned that my systemic lupus had gone into my eyes!! In fact no doctor had ever told me that systemic lupus could impact my eyes and they all told me about everything else.

Well lupus can impact your eyes and it can cause dryness and irritation to your eyes and it can cause systemic lupus cataracts. The question the doctors won't answer is whether the lupus will cause cataracts to form regularly and its a wait and see approach. So if you have lupus or other immune system ailments, make sure you get your eyes checked yearly as we caught this early with me.
