Complex Regional Pain Syndrome was caused by the trama of the tusk. My nerves began to fire and couldn't stop. It's kinda like when you have a limb cut off and you still feel the pain. They tell me there's no cure, just comfort. I found some comfort with the Lumbar Epidural Injections and the Spinal Cord Stimulator Trial and should be getting the SCS Implant within the next couple of weeks. If it works like it's sopposed to, I will get a vibration going down into my leg to help block the pain. I will be able to control the amount of vibration with a remote control. (My husband requested they add a mute button to mine.) If the SCS doesn't work then the only other option would be the pump. My scar, located on the outside of my leg between the knee and the ankle, is still very tender. I have had constant pain in my foot and toes as well. It's painful to stand, walk, or drive. If I sit, my foot will sting and go cold. It's enough to drive ya crazy sometimes. I see you have a dual diagnosis. I will pray for you.

Thank you for giving me the time and sharing your knowledge.

But I still don’t understand what RSD is.

Its not Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, nor Spinal Cord Stimulator.

What is it? thanks again.

Guy

This may be late, but I figured better late than never. Here is a web site about RSD. Scroll all the way down and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome is another name for RSD. Hope this provides anyone that is interested with information about RSD. Hugs to all.
