Have you wondered what a DEXA scan is?

Below is info on DEXA scans. Because of surgery to my spine and then an accident that caused back injuries, they give me a DEXA scan each year, even though I am not the typical age for DEXA scans. They have found I don't have osteoporosis but they check each year. The DEXA scan also tracks height and I am losing height apparently from the one broken bone that was partially smashed and is breaking and crumbling throughout more and more all the time, plus the earlier surgery at another location that was impacted by the accident.
