every so often i fall like a tree just strait down. I am 5 foot 10 and its a long way to fall.

tonight i was just putting my foot up to wipe some mud i had splashed on me and whatever happend it happened really fast.

Landed on my right hip this time. Its pretty scarey to do this. Does anyone else fall like this and have peripheral neuropathy?

I fall all the time because I have no feeling at the bottom of my feet. Especially when I get out of the shower and am trying to dry one foot and stand on the other. It's hard to balance when you don't know where you foot is. It's definately the peripheral neuropathy. You're not alone.

I fall often, too. My right foot drags and sometimes it's because of tripping on rugs, which I have since gotten rid of all that I can but mostly it's because my hips and knees just buckle and give out on me. If I bend my right knee even slightly, I'm going down and I know it. The really bad part is, when I fall, I can't get back up without my husband lifting me. I can't even crawl or scoot to a piece of furniture by myself. When home alone, I carry a phone with me at all times, every step I take.

Oh, and Cindy, my husband installed safety bars in the shower area for me and got me a shower chair. I couldn't groom myself without them and they were fairly cheap.

Hey Everyone,

For the longest time I was falling alot and did not know why until I learned about the PN. I have had some really bad falls that have caused some problems in other areas of my body. PN and falling is serious and can cause real problems. Be careful everyone.
