MDJunction to me

2steveb" In life we all have trials and tribulations to endure weather it be physical, mental or social. For me personally when i encountered MDJunction i was astounded. Since i joined MDJunction to me it has been a god send and a life saver. I have met and been able to converse freely with so many people in the same situation as myself, (that alone is a big help, to know your not alone) to be able to discuss and get good advice from a braud section of people. One of lifes hardest things is to discuss personal issues with friends/family and yet the mdj family is non judgmental and you will be made totally welcome to talk through any issue thats on your mind. There are forums for every known issue to mankind, to me MDJ.com has become my family extension, id be lost without these good people and the extremely good guide lines that group leaders help us all with to keep threads topical and friendly." Yes,know that feeling,My worse palpitation episodes have always been when I'm lying or sitting down, not doing anything. My doctor, who is just an awesome doctor, told me that the medical profession doesn't really understand why the palpitations in pericarditis victims are worse when they are resting (just as panic attacks often hit people when they are relaxing or sleeping),but they think that when during the day when you are more active, your body is more'awake'`and in fight or flight response, and then when you slow down in the evenings or whatever, your body relaxes and lets down it`s guard,so to speak. They also think chemicals in the body may have something to do with it.Dont know if this makes sense or helps, but just so you know you arent the only one dealing with this stuff..

I have had to sleep sitting almost upright for 9 weeks now, for just that reason !!.

Whenever I lay down I get all of my worst palps and pains that I have ever experienced, for me it is a problem as when I relax my Heart slows down and this I have found is not a comfortable thing for my body to handle. For some reason whenever My Heart rate drops to below sixty I get light headed and feel as if I am going to pass out. My doctor says "this is nothing to worry about", but it would be if it was happening to him, I'm Sure.

I would like to state that I do not have any medical qualifications and the only things that I am qualified to mend are computers

at least i can sleep as long as a cuddle a pillow and sleep on my left side, but still feel the skipping heart beats.....had it years ago, when i had thryoid trouble, so i just talk myself thru it. For me, i get so much discomfort when i try to sit, it seems to scrunch my stomach/ribs and it increases the pressure...
