I fell last night for no good reason from a chair. Basically blacked out and went down. Just out of the blue and smacked my head. I have never experienced that before. Has anyone else??

Have you had your blood pressure checked recently?

I was thinking the same thing Steve. I have fallen plenty but never blacked out. Low Blood pressure would be my guess. Might be a new med side effect. Hmmm!
Sometimes as writers we worry too much about creating a masterpiece when we should just be thankful the words flow at all.

I have to be careful at night...my last dose of meds sometimes makes me groggy and I sit at my computer and blink out long enough for my head to fall forward. I've almost fallen out of my chair a time or two. I think its more an effect of the meds than a PD symptom. And then I get my second wind and I can stay up all night and be fine. Be careful, eh!

Cheers,

Claire

Blood pressure would be a possiblity if there was a change in position. Not always so much if your position didnt change. A call to the doctor to let them be aware and for a follow up check up. Not only for your head but also the reason. Inner ear infecions can also bring on loss of balance issues. Hard to tell.

Hope your head is feeling better now. Take care!

I have noticed I have a different migrain that I have had just before i fall while standing from a chair. It comes right after my ears ring. My blood pressure so far has not been reason.

Oh my dear, u sound like yr going thru' real hard times with the falling & the migraine headaches. averaging 2-3 times a month is a lot of falls. Now that u have identified a sign, the ringing in yr ears, can u quickly sit down? Just a suggestion. I've had black-outs a few times & always I've known & avoided a fall by calling for help & sitting wherever. sincerely hope yr docs can sort yr prob for u. Until then, keep posting, someone will surely make a meaningful suggestion. And, if nothing else, u'll get caring support Smile
