MDJunction to me

Hazeldee"MDJunction means that I no longer have to feel like I am the only person in
the world with pericarditis. It means that I can talk to others who know
how stressful and how painful having pericarditis can be. It means that I
connect with others to discuss treatments that have or haven't worked for us, so that we have a leg to stand on. I think that having my friends at
MDJunction has allowed me to better mentally and emotionally process my
diagnosis and what it means to me. I feel so lucky to have this community
available to me. I use MDJunction as a way to use my experience to help
others. Reaching out to help others is the only solace I have found since
being diagnosed with pericarditis.

"Sea Turtle" 3rd in the series! May be the last!
Sometimes as writers we worry too much about creating a masterpiece when we should just be thankful the words flow at all.

Jane, your paintings are all so nice. We are very lucky to have such an artist in our midst.

I took a photo of a turtle that we hand out for free to the children at the art shows. He actually appears to be smiling. He is really popular.

Your paintings remind me a lot of that turtle. They make me smile, too. It means that your artwork does a good job of capturing the reality of nature. It is quite an accomplishment.

Thank You Steve, I never think my paintings are all that good. It sometimes takes me days to decide to post them. But, I like to hear how people perceive them and are affected by them so post them I do!Unsure Tongue

Priyeni, I'm sorry but the turtle photo is one that my company offers for sale. I wouldn't want to risk losing it to some stranger by posting it online.

I'm sure you understand.

It is, however, on our webpage if you'd like to see it. Just look under my personal profile for the link. On the webpage it's called "smiling turtle".

A poem for my sweet Nana who passed on in her 50's when I was only 8 yrs. old.

54 & 8

By Karen D Bumgarner

Golden age behind her

50 has come and gone

Her silky silver hair

Is falling oh so long

Not a word is spoken

Brushing is my prize

A golden age before me

I’ve yet to realize

Memories dim from years alone

Still a bond remains

54 is much too young

To lose this mortal glow

8 is much too young to lose

The one you’ve yet to know.

Shoot for the moon...if you miss it, reach out and grab a star.
