My DD has always been a "blond" (sorry any blond haired people). She is VERY forgetful, spaces out. At times she actually worries me. Last night she "cant rem how to turn up the volume" on the tv! She has about blown up the microwave many times by "forgetting she cant put metal in it". She "forgets" things all the time. I hear many times a day "I forgot".

So my question is...is this BP or could this be her meds or is she just to lazy/ doesnt care enough to think ( I think this is the case 98% of the time)? If the latter is the case what could I do about it?

Thanks so much!!!

I had a very similary expereince with my daughter. This is what was explained to me...that there mind is going so fast(mania)...that they truly do not remember those things and probably have no idea why you are making a big deal of things since once it happens, they are already on to the next thing. Once my daughter was better managed on meds, those types of behaviors stopped....she still has some of her blondness, but i think it is authentic blond as opposed to those "what the heck?" mania bipolar moments. Hope i have explained this as well

Can this be a side effect of one of her medications? Or possibly some type of mini-seizure? I would definitely bring this to the pdoc's attention.

Im already aware of all this as Ive done my research, i try to just not think about the brain damage I've been dealing with the spiciness etc.because I've already tried without meds and it didn't work out, some of us have no other options as bipolar doesnt have a cure, its either bad side effects, or losing your sanity to the disorder and I've chosen meds bc i don't wish to suffer anymore, i recommend anyone with depression or something less serious look at other options besides meds, but if you have schizophrenia or bipolar , its just best to stay on them sometimes.
