MDJunction to me

scotty04901"MDJ to me is an added phase in my recovery as a 44 year survivor of a TBI. I hope that with what I have lived through in those years, will be able to help all those who are just now going through. It is important to understand that even after 44 yrs, I am continuing to recover and to evolve. I just hope I can help others." (scotty04901)

Jenni, I understand. I know how hard it can be to be alone with the kids. As the Mom they count on you as the one who won't leave them, so we take the blunt of everything. Lexi was beating on me so bad that my husband had to change to nights at work so he could always be here when she is awake. Sometimes I wonder what makes us so special that God would give mother's these struggles. Good luck and hang in there. Time is bound to pass.

I know this is tough. But, you'll get a break soon. We love you here and like to see you checking in, but I wanted you to know that there is another support group at MDJ for Bipolar parents of bipolar children. I thought you might like to know this and check in there too from time to time. This might be a source of support for you as well. AND, some relief to know that you're not the only one!!! Smile

I stole this from someone else in one of these forums - but it fits! ;)

I am the mother of a 21 year old BP daughter (whom at the moment, I say is "in remission" with the help of Lithium, biweekly therapy for 4.5 years, and an intensive outpatient course of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).)
