My 3 year old son is a very picky eater. He would live on chicken and ice cream. He rarely eats veggies. I give him some at every meal yet he won't touch them. Any ideas on how to get himto try them? Will it affect his health not eating them?

Thanks....Your Friend, Chris:

I am in the same boat. Shelby lives off of chicken nuggetts and pizza. Some days, I don't even know if she really even eats a whole meal. But she also likes chocolate milk. I guess alot of kids really are like ours at this age. She does eat alot of fruit though. Talk to ya soon, Michelle

I guess Isaiah eats some fruits, but not much of anything else. Oh yes, Chocolate milk is a favorite of his. Lindsey is my eater. She will eat almost anything, except eggs! She will throw them at you if you even try to put them on her plate!! It is funny, yet I try hard not to bust out laughing!!! It is not easy to keep a straight face.

I hope to hear from you soon! Chris

Do your children like juice? My son is just now eating SOME veggies. When he refuses I give him V8 splash. If your kids like chips, try Flat Earth baked veggie crisps. They have a 1/2 serving of vegetables in every ounce. My son loves them and he does't know he's eating a good snack. They are usually found with the rice cakes (which my son also loves and so do I) in wal-mart. It's awesome that you still offer the veggies at every meal. You never know someday they may try it and love it! If there is any cassarole that he will eat. Mix baby food carrots in it so he can get some vit. A. When my son refused I was mixing baby food veggies in anything I could. He didn't know the difference. Don't use peas. They have too strong of a taste. You can use sw. potatoes to mix with applesauce if he likes that. My son started trying new things when we went OUT to eat. I would get the salad bar and he wanted some of my food. So I gave him a ranch covered cucumber and he ate it and wanted another. So he will occasionally eat salad now. He loves carrot sticks if he gets to dip them in ranch dressing.

GREAT IDEAS! I WILL GIVE THEM A TRY!

He will only drink apple juice. Nothing else that I have given him has hit the spot, yet! I offer him many different things, all the time. He is so skinny. He looks like a string bean!

Thanks for the tips. I will let you know if it works!
