"MDJunction means that I no longer have to feel like I am the only person in
the world with pericarditis. It means that I can talk to others who know
how stressful and how painful having pericarditis can be. It means that I
connect with others to discuss treatments that have or haven't worked for us, so that we have a leg to stand on. I think that having my friends at
MDJunction has allowed me to better mentally and emotionally process my
diagnosis and what it means to me. I feel so lucky to have this community
available to me. I use MDJunction as a way to use my experience to help
others. Reaching out to help others is the only solace I have found since

What is your most difficult sacrifice?

What would be the most difficult sacrifice you have made since becoming a mom?

Mine would be: I don't do much for myself. No manicures, hair appts., shopping for myself or giving myself any alone time.

mine -- i quit high school and go to college now. (early admit program where i'll get my GED while working towards a degree) i was only a freshman when i got pregnant so i never got any real high school experiences. i won't graduate or go to prom. high school is definitely the worst sacrifice for me.

mine- giving up all the activities i used to be in......... like dance, soccer, softball coach, etc. i did a lot of volunteer work i loved and now its focus on a job and school and baby thats it. Not much fun invvolved anymore although i still have some.
