Paranormal Online Support Group

So I have posted before I think I may be able to Astral Travel and see Auras...I have the info for some exercises that can help me strengthen my possible psychic abilities which would give me the answer to my questions of if the paranormal actually exists...but now I am not sure I am prepared for the answers I might find. I am afraid to endanger my kids somehow by things that cant be seen. I am torn. I have searched for these answers since I was 11 years old. Is there a safe way to approach all of this?

This would be a great question for Christine or Irish. I am just starting to open up to my abilities as well and Irish helped me out a lot. Maybe message one of them?

Have you looked up groups in your area ? Local metaphysical shops ? They may be able to lead you in the right direction with one on one tutoring and mentorship. At least if you felt unsafe you would have someone physically that you could have come to the house or you to them.

Yes things can come through that would cause trouble...IF they can find the opportunity...

Also...Confidence...Fear needs to be used to build your courage...being afraid of the "what ifs" IS inviting unwanted energies...so you need to start building your confidence...

We have a really good grounding/protection ritual here...works for MANY...get practicing with that...as you become stronger at using it - your confidence will grow...and you will tweak it to fit you personally...

If you can meditate, I would do that as well...can help to bring fears under control...

The bottom line is this...One needs to Claim the Space in which they live...Your energy can be used to blanket your home and keep it protected...some need to reinforce this daily or even a few times a day...

As you grow more experienced, this could change...I don't have to reinforce this...its become a natural thing for me...or maybe 2nd nature is a more accurate way to describe it...

I don't want to discourage you...just want you to be properly prepared...its AMAZING how the world can open up to you once you conquer your fears...truly amazing...

Try the protection ritual...if it doesn't work right - try different things...for me...there is a grounding part of it...and for me I use fire and lightening...rather then earth...Irish uses water and mirrors...

So you can tweak it to the things that you connect with...

Just like Christine said, I don't think your ready eiether....we are empaths, and your post is FULL of fear and uncertainity. And you can't go into a psychic journey being controlled by eiether. Were there moments in my psychic journey when I was overwhemled? Heck yeah.......but I never let it get me afraid. Negative entities FEED on the fear and uncertainity.....if you try this before getting your fear and uncertainity under control you'll find yourself in a world of trouble.

Thank you all for your advice...and yes I am a little afraid and I have been ready everything and anything lately. I even had a psychic reading which I know with those its hard to tell ya know. And she was so dead on about me and my life so I trust in her. She said the same things you have all said. She thinks I have amazing gifts but I need to be fully prepared because there will inevitably be things that will try to scare me and things that will try to take over and wreak havoc so I need to be strong and educated to not let them win. I am meditating daily and doing some exercises to see if I can contact one of my spirit guides. I was told if spirit guides are real and I have one that they can help me through this journey as well. I am open to anything because I strongly feel there is so much we just don't know. Anything is possible. I am so glad I found this site and all of you and I am glad to have your words of encouragement. I havn't discussed this with my family just yet so with all of you I am not alone.
