Nerves: Bananas are high in B vitamins

That help calm the nervous system.

Was told to include Bananas in my diet by my Dr. Wink

Oh yes I love this. I eat a half of a banana with breakfast every morning. Smile
I am not a doctor although wish I was. LOL All of my comments are strictly my opinion only from my own experiences. I am on no medications at the time but have taken medication in the past. So anything I say about medication is only my opinion from the experiences I have had while on medication. Never stop taking or take medication without talking to your doctor first.

I think, I need to get over the texture and give it another try. Smile Don't like watermelon either for that same reason. Sad

Ya know I don't like watermelon but pretty much any other fruit. I usually eat my banana with my cereal. Such as cherrios, honey bunches of oats, fiber 1, rice crispies. My sister can only eat bananas if they are still a little green not fully ripe. She don't like the texture when they are too ripe. Smile

Interesting...I never really liked bananas, texture or the taste...and like 3 weeks ago I suddenly started craving them like crazy. Perhaps my body knew something before I did o_O

I didn't know this...I eat a banana everyday for the potassium as I was once told it was low by my Dr.

Now I can feel even better about eating them Smile

I'm not big on banana texture either, but what I like to do is freeze an unpeeled banana and throw it in my blender with some orange juice and frozen strawberries if I have them! I had no idea that bananas were supposed to be good for calming the nervous system; I just started making these smoothies again within the past few weeks after not having made them for a really long time!

Very cool to hear!
