Unfortunately I don't think they "just go away" until the acceptance becomes so automatic we stop dwelling on the feelings. If you're constantly thinking about how you're feeling, you will probably always have some of the symptoms. With acceptance you can think about other things and know that when the panic feelings to come along you CAN deal with them and not increase them or magnify them by fear or tension. It's a whole new way of thinking, it takes time, but you'll get there. It sounds like going home is going to be really good for you and it will probably help you to accept the way you feel.

i have this feeling if my anxiety/panic is high enough to cause one of my dissociative episodes. kind of a hazy sureal feeling to everything. not saying this is happening to you but either way i would talk to your doc about it. could also be meds related. do you hyperventilate? oxygen levels being messed up from hyperventilation can also cause such feelings.


As bad as my past was, without it I wouldn't be the good person i am today
