I'm feeling about the same. Maybe a little better. Once it's on my mind I can't stop thinking about it and I know that makes it worse, but don't know how to stop it. Being at work doesn't help cause all I can do is sit here thinking about it. At least at home I can clean or go outside for a walk or something to get my mind on to something else. I seem to be managing ok for the time being. No panic attacks, just nervous, anxiety feeling.

I know how that feels hun. I didn't realise you were at work. I should have known. Does that mean that it is slightly easier when you're at home to take your mind off things? I know how you feel. I get the same when I feel panicky. It doesn't just go away. I feel a bit helpless at the moment. I wish there was more I can do for you.

You're doing a lot already just by talking to me. How are you feeling today? You shouldn't beat yourself up about the cutting either because that might just make it worse. I don't know a lot about it, but as with all things we don't think we should be doing in our lives, maybe just try and put it behind you & try to move forward since you can't go back and undo it.

Yes, it's easier for me to deal with the feelings when I'm at home. It's easier to get my mind off of it because there's always a lot to be done at home.

Oh that's good. I'm glad it's a little easier for you to take your mind off things when you're home. I am doing a bit better thanks. Talking to you is working wonders for me. I'm ok about cutting myself this morning. Like you said, it's done now. I should talk to my partner a bit more when I want to cut instead of just doing it. I'm here for you for as long as you need me

Did the cutting start because of the panic, do you think? During some of my worst attacks & my worst days, I've often thought it would be so much easier to just disappear than to keep on dealing with these feelings.

I know what you mean, my kids certainly keep me going. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them for sure. In all honesty, I started cutting when my grandfather abused me many years ago and it's usually triggered by something traumatic now. I know what you mean about wanting to disappear though. I completely relate. Luckily I have a very supportive partner now and he is always willing to listen when I need to talk. Is is something traumatic that sets you panic off do you think or is it the thought of being around other people?
