I have never done illegal drugs so I doubt it has anything to do with that... I too have severe panic attacks in the car in traffic. I feel claustrophobic and scared out of my mind. When I get home I am usually so stressed I have to lay down.

I'm an Advocate

I think it is a combination of things in your life. You have been through alot and most of it can have an effect on your state of mind. It has for me anyways. As far as the drug use, yes it could cause some of your problems. My brother had to be put on lithum and other things to be able to handle coming off of drugs. He still takes things and has been clean for 30 or more years. I think you should talk to a health care professional about all that is going on! They should have some answers. Please don't stop taking medication without talking to your doctor. It can be very dangerous!!!!

Your Friend, Chris Smile

I am not a doctor so everything I say is from my experience, my opinion, or advice from research I've done. You should always consult with your health care professional.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Yesterday is history...tomorrow is a mystery....today is a gift.... that's why it is called the present.

I'm sorry for your struggles. I don't have any experience with bipolar as I don't know anyone who struggles with it but I get paranoid when I'm having a panic attack like everyone is watching me and pointing at me. Like Chris says, I think it's the mixture of everything that's going on in your life. It sounds like you have a few things going on and they can all contribute to making you feel down and confused. I have been like that myself. I also don't have any experience with addiction so can't comment on that but it doesn't mean I can't offer my support. I care a great deal and if there's anything else I can do to help, please ask me
