I was in back seat of sons van w my young grandson in his carseat. I didnt know we were going to go somewhere. We were visiting son and he needed to go get his son from babysitter. Anyway, my dh decided he wanted to go to some local nurseries for plants. Long story short, too much traffic, got nervous, had to fight off a huge attack but still had one, no one understands. Ok today!

I understand...I'm sorry you had such a hard time, but glad you're okay today. What did your son say when you had it?

When we learn to stop fighting & surrender to our feelings, the panic loses its apponent & has no one to fight.

Take off the "gloves" & see it work...

I'm so sorry you had an attack! They can be so draining on a person. Do you get these alot in traffic or riding in the car?

I'm glad you are feeling better and will pray for peace in your life!

Yes I do get them a lot in the car. I hate being in the traffic and hate the back seat.

My son said to take something.....

Poor you, I don't drive so I can't relate to what you go through. I can understand with the traffic being so busy and noise though. Can I ask, are you on any medication for anxiety or panic attacks?

Was you son being mean by saying to take something? It sounds like he doesn't understand. I do understand about traffic and being in the car. Ever since I can't drive due to medical conditions, I have had them in the car. My fiance drives like a wild man and doesn't pay attention. I hang on for my life!!!I feel like I won't make it home and that it is the end of my life. My medications that I'm on don't help matters, they make me feel like we are tipping over. It is getting to the point that I don't like to leave my home unless I have to.

I have tried to bring books with to read, but then he will hit the side of the road and my panic is in full swing.

We are here for you!!!! Your friend, Chris

You're wrong, I understand perfectly.

Panic attacks can come out of the blue, BUT whenever we are "trapped", it is almost certain to bring them on. It has nothing to do with the automobile or the traffic, it's the "trapped" feeling.
