Hi everyone. Im 20 and started having panic attacks in december. I had the usual palpitations, light headedness, feelig like i was going to feint and then hyperventilating. The first couple of instances i thought i was having a heart attack and was told it was panic attacks when it happened again i still didn believe that i was suffering from panic attacks. Now iv got used to the fact that wat im feeling is panic attacks. Its getting me down because i dont feel stressed or anxious they just come on unexpectedly. I can deal with a panic attack fine now and can usually get over the feint feeling and rapid heart beat fairly quickly. The thing thats bothering me most is the physical pain that im now getting, im getting tight chests, and pain where my heart is. When i visited the doctors they obviously asked me if i was having any symptoms related to heart problems e.g. bad back, pains in the arm. Since then iv now been getting these feelings. can you get pain phsycologically? Its the worst part i thought that id managed to get my panic attacks under control and now everyday im getting these pains. Its starting to get me down. Iv had all tests and they have all come back fine. Like panic attacks staying calm is the answer is there any way of getting rid of these feelings??

Unfortunately panic disorder and all of the stress that comes along with it can do a lot of things to your mind and body. It's a powerful thing if you let it be. I've had all sorts of different symptoms, but I know worrying has brought a lot of them on. I know it's very hard, but you have to try and relax. Since you've gone through all of the testing, you have to tell yourself that you're fine no matter what you're feeling because your mind can make you feel all sorts of things. I'm sorry you're going through this, but you are not alone.

God bless.

Sandy
