my daughter gets panic attacks when she has to fly on a plane.Her partner is italian so she has to fly 2 or 3 times a year.She wants to know if hymatisim will work .Has any of you done it?Cant spell it so I hope you know what I mean as in being very relaxed.She says she is afraid to go to doc as he might give her somethng to make her sleep & she would be afraid the plane might go down

Yikes, Im scared of flying too, I wont get on an airplane ever! Hypmotism may work, Ive never dont it, but you could google it and see how it can or cant help. Ive heard of those meds. too that help you relax or sleep during the flight. Good luck, hope all works out for her!

She has googled it and just doctors come up saying how great it works.She wants some people who have had it done to say how it felt

I was curious as to how this works and found some websites that describes the process but they were the same as you described with the doctors speaking of it. I did, however, find a thread that is full of peoples comments on their personal experience with hypnotists. The link is: http://ask.metafilter.com/12657/Hypnotized

From what I have read some of the people found it helpful. My only suggestion would be to do your homework and pick a reputible hypnotist so that you get proper care that actually makes an impact on your daughter's fear. Good luck
