About 4 years ago, my father died suddenly from an uknown cause of death. My brother told me about the news over the phone and it was the biggest shock of my life. Ever since then I have anxiety or panic attacks when something gets stressful, panick, angry, and do something compulsive. I haven't been able to deal with shocking news or anything stressfuls since than. Could it be a sign from the trauma of my father's death? How do you handle when you feel panicky or feel like things are spiraling out of control?

Yes, I have been in cousneling since I was 16. Also, I have bipolar, so that could be a trigger of symptoms.

I think I have learned this from trial and error, but I can SOMETIMES control my panic attacks by breathing in through my nose and out through my mouth.

I have a very supportve husband who talks me through things, and he never gets angry at me or calls me crazy!!
