MDJunction to me

sarahtroy"There's a special place in my heart for MDJ's Bipolars dealing with Alcoholism support group. As an alcoholic in recovery, it is my safe harbor. I draw strength and hope from our Bipolar alcoholics and addicts who bravely share their experiences and courageously face our common demons. This is a special, close and safe group to explore any alcohol or drug issues. I have made many dear friends and been sustained by the love and acceptance so freely offered." (sarahtroy)

Panic Attacks ForumsGeneral & SupportHi. Who feels THESE panic attack symptoms?

Uncomfortable feeling all over but also the back and neck muscles are all stiff. Tightness in the chest. Heart beat stronger and its pace faster than normal. Feeling like the heart stopped. Respiration is faster. Hair on the back of the head feels like it's standing up. Trembling slightly. Feeling that I could die at any minute. Noticing having extra body fat. Feeling dizzy like I am losing the sense of balance. Choked up feeling in the throat. Chest and left arm are completely numb. Left leg numb.

"Anxiety disorders are a cause of tremendous

suffering in the United States. Victims often feel

they must endure their fears without complaint

or risk having others think they are weak or

unbalanced. Often they themselves don't know

what the real source of their suffering is. Members

of their family may be confused too."

Sincerely, Rich

Sometime I do...each attack seems to have one or two symptoms that are different, but my main indicators are the numbness in the hands and feet, tingling down my spine, racing heart, pounding heartbeat in my ears (which I know now is the raised blood pressure) and difficulty catching a full breath.
