"Sexual abuse" (Pashia)

MDJunction to me

ThereseML"When I first came to MDJ, I was in need of peer support in dealing with issues of my childhood abuse. I was moving away from the painful issues and trying to find an uplifting group of people to help me transition to a thriver in my life. I found that here. I also found a group of peers with Fibromyalgia and found the same uplifting experience there. My computer crashed and it was a while before I found my way back, this time with issues related to Parkinson's Disease. I had tried a few other support sites before reminding myself of MDJ. On those, I never got a reply. I finally found my way back here and again found very supportive, caring and inspiring people who made me feel like I was 'back home'. Indeed I am." (ThereseML)

that's the way to do it. I have continuously put myself in uncomfortable situations or gone to places that have made me panic so that I can reassure myself that I'm stronger than panic. It is a victory, my friend. I am so happy for you!!!! An old Chinese saying I love is "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." This is the first step on what will hopefully turn out to be an amazing journey for you <3

Exposure therapy can be very painful and uncomfortable but it does work.

driving back home in the heat facing the sun was painful. Couldn't tell if I had the panic but I felt terrible and nervous a little too. I wasn't hyperventilating. Didn't use cold water or anything. Calmed myself at home watching a funny tv series. To face fear (in this heat/sun), I went to mow the lawn. Didn't feel anything until at the end when I was tired (maybe low on sugar or dehydrated a bit). When I am tired or hungry, I get that funny feeling like about to fall or something and start panicking. So the panic came but I was able to control. I couldn't fight back like the last time though.

don,

Low blood sugar can mimic panic and anxiety.

Make sure to eat and stay hydrated. Drink Gatorade or make your own drink or have some almonds or some fruit!

No alcohol or caffeine. Those are triggers for panic and anxiety! Smile

A man sooner or later discovers that he is the master-gardener of his soul, the director of his life.
Begin at once to live, and count each separate day as a separate life.
Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.
It is a common experience that a problem difficult at night is resolved in the morning after the committee of sleep has worked on it.

Pretty slick saying slada. I like! Short and sweet! What is ironic is that panic seldom will kill you but it won't leave you alone either. The human brain per se is incapable of feeling pain but can cause and sense great pain in the mind and body. I find myself sometimes talking to my brain if that is possible and asking it why are you causing me so much pain and misery brain. Why don't you just stop it?
