MDJunction to me

aTinaL"To me, Mdjunction comes down to motivation. The support and information I have found here motivated me to take a very proactive stance regarding my illness. This led me to find medication and doctors that are giving me my life back.
More important than even the motivation, though, is the friendship I have found at MDJ. I have made some of the best friends of my entire life right here in this group. Even though most of us have never met, it feels as if we have known each other for years.
If Angels walk among us, and I believe that they do, most of them are here at MDJ.

Who else takes naps? do you feel guilty when you do? I don't take a nap everyday but when I get less than the regular amount of sleep at night I know I need I feel like I have to take a nap to function for the rest of the day!

Other countries have naps built into their culture but I feel guilty when I need a nap sometimes but I feel better afterwards!

NO no no never feel guilty for taking a nap. I will take one sometimes at around 2 pm till 3 pm. Some weeks I am fine and don't feel the need for a nap but certain times of the month I oh so need one. And I feel so refreshed after. Too long of a nap will make me feel sluggish and still tired.

I am not a doctor although wish I was. LOL All of my comments are strictly my opinion only from my own experiences. I am on no medications at the time but have taken medication in the past. So anything I say about medication is only my opinion from the experiences I have had while on medication. Never stop taking or take medication without talking to your doctor first.

Naps are healthy. It is listening to your body. If a person is able to take a nap and refresh themselves then I say "Go for it" Smile Smile Smile

I know as a fact they are good for you because I dreamed about today during one of my naps!

I just woke up and dreamed I was on vacation, riding a horse in a lesson, my phone dropped and fell apart and I was trying to figure out how to get it while on the horse by myself but figured out how to get the horse to sit for me...haha.....galloped on the horse. ...funny dream must symbolize how I want to feel free.

LOL Kildare!! Tennis I think you need a new phone or maybe a horse as Angel has said. However dont feel guilty taking naps..to tell the truth I nap A LOT on weekends. Our bodies need the refreshment. I really dont like that I work 8hrs a day during the week b/c I so want to take a nap during the week, but by the time I get home, eat, shower, its already 9:00. Just think, when we were young we hated to take a nap now we wish we could nap all day

Everyday is a new day to make the next day brighter!
