MDJunction to me

tomboykimi"What MD Junction means to me is a place where i can feel like im not alone. As someone with something as rare as hydrocephalus, it feels like im the only one in the world with it. When i came to MD, its like everyone has it. It doesnt feel like im alone. And that people need to hold up a sign to say what i have, because people know. And they understand. I can get questions answered from people who have been through it rather than from doctors or people who only can tell you from a physical standpoint. THat is what MD junction means to me." I fell from my fantastic mood with a screeching crash because people want to talk about suicide and self harm outside of the Self Injury group. I'm panicked, i'm triggered, i'm trying to stay safe and best of all I have a party to go to in two hours, so I have to try to calm down before then. Hate this........

Hey Irish how ya doin now? Better I hope. Let's talk about cake and ice cream, both of which I'm having at this moment. It was my cousins birthday yesterday and a few friends and family ended up at my place today for left oversSmile

I"m somewhat ok now. Still triggered, but it was doubtful we were even going to the party for awhile there........but i figured that out and going into crisis recovery mode helped.

Irish,

I don't think that Tennis meant that you were "lucky" that you were having a panic attack. I think she meant that you were lucky that you were going to a party. Maybe she can clarify. I am sorry that you are having a difficult day. But we are all here to be supportive. Thanks! Smile

Of course I meant that she is lucky to get to go to a party. I am a social person and miss my friends so much and when I do see them I treasure it for months til I see them again.
