Advice.

So as long as I can remember as a kid and now as an adult if I am nervous and home before I have go leave somewhere which is causing the nervousness I have to go tovthe bathroom a few times so I need to allow extra time from when I eat to when I leave if I think I may be nervous. Is there anything else I can do to not have to go as.much before leaving somewhere ...it is usually just the mornings I feel that way butbI don't alwaysbhave to leave somewhere...its like that for going.somewhere in morning though ...sorry those is a Ymir thread but Id be.more embarrassed to ask in person! Smile

Don't be embarrassed....I too am the same way if I am nervous about going somewhere. Don't know of anything that helps....I just keep going and going and going before I leave!!

Okay Tennis. First rule is I have no idea what I'm talking about. I'm covering til someone smart gets here. I do know that a feeling of a need to urinate is a classic symptom of fear. There is NO shame in it at all. People about to die will urinate and defecate. Again, my wife the nurse is well aware of that. As your anxiety comes under control (and it will), this will seem a silly, if slightly embarrassing, memory. This too will pass. And yes, the pun is intentional!
May I be guided to accept others who may differ from me and always separate opinion from fact. I insist that others put the benefit of the group before anything else, regardless of a well meaning agenda. If what you say is a fact, you can back it up. If not, it's opinion and should be called that. The safety of members is paramount.

the same thing happens to me and my therapist said it is a somatic response ( i think thats how you spell it). anyhow he said it is normal for people with anxiety issues
