I am getting a bit worried about my fluctuating blood pressure. I'm not sure if it's because of my hypothyroidism that's causing it or if it's my daily anxiety attacks. I don't have high blood pressure although I was given lopressor by the ER doctor. I guess during my raging panic attacks it elevated my blood pressure to be high, but again the blood test came back that I was hypothyroidism, so I don't know who is the culprit; The hypothyroid or the Panic attacks/Anxiety.
The power of a hug can do many things, and the best part is is that it's priceless!

panic attacks can certainly make your blood pressure jump up but so can alot of things like caffiene, stress of just being in the ER, alcohol, exercise, lots of things. If it is fluctuating up then down, that is pretty normal. It is supposed to do that. Just worrying about your blood pressure can make it go up. The top number is not so worrisome. It's the bottom number that doctors really look at. That number when your blood pressure is normal should be less than 90.

If you are taking your blood pressure several times and day, I would say don't. It's just giving you another thing to worry about and making it jump up.

I don't know for sure if hypothyroidism would make your BP fluctuate but it could. Let me know what you usually get for a BP.

The hypothyroid can cause your BP to go up and down. What meds are you taking.
You are not drunk unless you have to hang on while lying on the floor.
