MDJunction to me

fluffyluggage"I found MDJunction at a time when I was struggling with so much. I
was so sick. I found a home, a place where people understood me, when
even my family doubted me. In MDJ, I found a place of refuge, love,
and support. I come here daily, to find my balance, to cope, and to
find that same support I've found from day 1. MDJ is my new family.
The friends I've made here will remain with me for a lifetime.

Welcome to the group. I'm sorry that you are feeling so bad. I know that it must be really tough to come off of the xanax. If you don't mind me asking, why did you come off of the xanax? You may have came off of it too quick. I hope that you are doing this under a doctor's care. If not then you will need to call your dr asap. On this forum there are a lot of different links that give you different things to do to help your anxiety. Try deep belly breathing, drinking ice water, sometimes a good bath and just soak. Drink soothing teas. If you are feeling psychosis coming on then you definitlely need to contact your doctor. That's not a good thing at all. We are here to listen and please contact your dr and if you can't get in touch with them on the weekend then you may want to think about going to the emergency room. I hope this helped. I'm here if you need to talk!

Hey Shay I am sorry you are going through a rough time right now. I have had horrible panic attacks also and hope you find some peace of mind being a part of this group of wonderful people. Just keep writing on how you are feeling. It helps. SmileSmile
I am not a doctor although wish I was. LOL All of my comments are strictly my opinion only from my own experiences. I am on no medications at the time but have taken medication in the past. So anything I say about medication is only my opinion from the experiences I have had while on medication. Never stop taking or take medication without talking to your doctor first.

Hi Shay, welcome to the group. I'm sorry you're going through such a rough time right now. We've all had our "rough" patches here. It could be your med change or it could be the coming off the xanax but either way it will level out. Jenny is right though, if you feel you are losing control or having psychosis you should call your doc asap or go to the er. They may be able to help and you don't want to put yourself in danger. Keep posting hun, we are here for you.

hugs,

Thanks for all the kind words. I was on xanax for about 12 years at a high dose they thought it stopd working or was even making things worse thats why they took me off of it, and also took me off of all sorts of other meds, switched everything up (kinda scary). Let me just ask the people in this group IS THERE HOPE..will i ever be back to "normal" again.. one other thing my girlfriend trys to understand and has been there through a lot of this but still she gets mad or frustrated about things like having to leave somewhere because i am panicking or just things like that she gets mad and angry about and it makes me feel bad anybody else have that problem with a girl/boyfriend or anything..ok ill stop now i could type forever..thanks again for all the kind words

Hi Shay- YES!!!! Of course there is hope!! You would be surprised...as much as you are having a rough time right now, it is a "bump in the road" and there are bound to be more of them throughout your life. BUT....You can, and will, get back to being as "normal" as you were before...it just takes some work, and for alot of us, the right medications to bring us back to where we want to be.

I think the hardest part, the thing that we have the most trouble with, is the amount of time it takes. It can take just a couple of days for a completely downward spiral and to hit rock-bottom, while it can take up to a year or more to get back to where you were, but you can!!

I'm sorry your girlfriend is having trouble coping with this. My husband is a great support but my family doesn't understand and gets annoyed and inpatient, so I know how that feels. Sad
