MDJunction to me

2steveb" In life we all have trials and tribulations to endure weather it be physical, mental or social. For me personally when i encountered MDJunction i was astounded. Since i joined MDJunction to me it has been a god send and a life saver. I have met and been able to converse freely with so many people in the same situation as myself, (that alone is a big help, to know your not alone) to be able to discuss and get good advice from a braud section of people. One of lifes hardest things is to discuss personal issues with friends/family and yet the mdj family is non judgmental and you will be made totally welcome to talk through any issue thats on your mind. There are forums for every known issue to mankind, to me MDJ.com has become my family extension, id be lost without these good people and the extremely good guide lines that group leaders help us all with to keep threads topical and friendly." How to Treat and Cure Panic Attacks

Marie Scodari, who is a holistic healer, says that panic attacks are treatable....

I agree !00% when she said, "Unless you have experienced a panic attack, you will never understand what a person goes through during one"

So maybe we need to give family and friends a little slack for not getting it and not get upset, hurt or angery, when they do not.

I am not a Doctor, Nurse or Medical Professional. Im not even Dr. Seuss, Dr. Dolittle or Dr. Dre. :) I only share advice from my own personal experiences with Panic Attack Disorder. It is soley for information purposes only, please continue to take your Doctors advice. I share what I have learned, read, experienced and know what has helped me, I share this information in hopes it will be of help or comfort to someone else. Good luck, Relax, and lets continue to support one another, and conquer panic the best way we can! :)

I must confess, I have wished my husband to have just one Panic Attack so he would feel what I go through. ;(

I like how she says you need to find a therapist you trust. This has been something that I have found to be very hard. I often feel like the therapist has no idea what I am feeling. Then that leads me to feel like what I tell them isn't validated or believed. So there goes the trust.

Also discovering what is in my "pressure cooker" seems to be hard. I know some of the fears, irrational thoughts, ect that I have but I don't always realize that I am having them. Or realize that I am not addressing them properly. Also I think there are many things that I don't know.

It's a good video but you're right JoJo, "find the therapist" - how about if you are restricted to the therapists that accept your insurance? (if you are lucky enough to have insurance). I'll spare all you the details on my search and experience with therapists. There's a REASON I've resorted to coming on this site instead.

that's the biggest problem - finding a good therapist with treating panic disorder that is accepted on your insurance. The medicine dulled the symptoms for me but the therapy treatment is def. something im missing - which is probably why i have this underlying anxiety that i dont know where it's coming from alot of the time. This video is kind of inspiring me to search for a therapist in my area - there has to be at least one good one.

Also I found it interesting that she said this is the mental illness that the fewest amount of people seek treatment for.
