We were going to get a weedwacker and a few things for the yardwork.....well, i got out of the air conditioned car and almost passed out.....i went leaned a pole and hyperventilated....i told ma the shock coming from refrigerated air to the heat of the day was just too much......THEN WE WENT INSIDE.....it was hell on earth......ma had no empathy i was almost passing out, and said do breathing stuff......i almost went out right there on the bench.......then in a crowd of people......there i was loading a weed wacker in the heat.......what SAVED me.....we went to pizza hut and i downed 1 beer, and sipped the other.....eating my share of a franks red hot personal pan pizza....i had been rescued, but barely......then we finally made it home.....i was saved by the skin of my teeth.

I'm glad you made it home okay Robert and that you are now feeling better. I hate it when the panic monster hits like that. Sorry you went through that today.

But you did it Robert! which is great Smile They sell this neck compress that has some kind of beads in it, you put it in the freezer and it remains cold all day,I use it for migraines. That might help when you come from cold to hot weather so fast. Just put it on your neck to keep your body temperture cool. Most drug stores carry them,I even seen them in the mall more colorful or sports logos on them.

Sounds like your blood sugar may have been getting low, which in turn caused panic symptoms. Always carry some lifesavers with you to eat if you have not eaten in 2 hours and start to feel a panic attack coming. Eat a meal with protein and good carbs so your blood sugar will stabilize.

Something about the heat triggers panic attacks for me. I don't what it is. Isn't it such a relief when you finally calm down and can say well I did it??!!!Gosh just reading what you went through brought back times I was in the same situation minus loading things, so I can't even imagine how awful you felt. Good for you though that you did it and pushed through it. SmileSmileSmile
I am not a doctor although wish I was. LOL All of my comments are strictly my opinion only from my own experiences. I am on no medications at the time but have taken medication in the past. So anything I say about medication is only my opinion from the experiences I have had while on medication. Never stop taking or take medication without talking to your doctor first.

I think sudden changes in temperature either way can trigger the attacks. Yesterday morning I got out of my car to walk into work and one hit me. It was very cold out and I had to continue across a large parking lot. It was all I could do to get to my classroom, and when I did, I had to lie back in my chair and breathe and regroup for a while. My students were all looking at me as if I were crazy. Poor kids!
