The past 2 weeks it seems my panic and anxiety have gotten worse. I am up to 6 xanax 0.5mg daily and 2 kolonipin 2mg daily. But none of the medication seems to be helping at all. I've not yet mentioned it to my dr because they are so strict on xanax and kolonopin here in my state (so many abuse the drugs here) and are hesitant to increase them without absolutely having to. However i can't continue waking up in the middle of the night to these attacks and all through the day always being on edge waiting on the next one to happen. Any advice?

Are you getting any counseling sis? I don't remember if you said you were or not - not that my memory's worth a terd at this point. Outside of TCIs and SSRIs, counseling is the best solution. My mom does relaxation therapy and that is a great help, but she's here in Lancaster w/me so that doesn't help you much.

Sorry I don't have any other ideas sis! Sad

Yes Andy i'm in counseling weekly sadly i feel that has made it worse the past 2 wks. Been touching a lot of issues that started my panic/anxiety issues to begin with.

My memory has also gone to the crapper, i think it's the meds lol. Better excuse than saying age is getting us lol.

If you are touching on a lot of issues that started your panic/anxiety to begin with and it's making you feel more anxiety, I think that's a good thing. I mean I know it's not good at all that you feel worse right now, but it really sounds like you're working through your issues and once you get to the other side, you will have dealt with them and you will most likely feel a WHOLE LOT BETTER.

I think what you're doing is progress and unfortunately sometimes progress isn't easy.

But we're all here for you in the meantimeSmile

I absolutely agree with Sandy. I think the more 'wiped out' you feel after leaving a counselor, the more assured you are that good progress was made. Never fun, but better off long term. Just like going to the gym and feeling wiped out when you leave.

My memory has also been extremely foggy, and time seems to be going soooo slow! I think stress is what wipes out the short term memory.

As far as advice, all I got is breathe, relax, smile, yawn, and watch the laughing baby movie I posted.

I hope you feel better Sis.
