i've been dwelling so much on all the yuck that's going on and i've found that what helps a little is to think about how i would feel or what i would do if i were feeling better. sometimes this reminds my brain that i am ok. that i can feel good and that i am "normal."

so...

if i were feeling "normal" i would:

write more

go outside more

i would feel relaxed and not worried

be excited

work towards owning a bookstore

play dress up

laugh

plant some vegetables

kiss my son until he peed in his pants. (not gross, very cute Smile )

you guys add yours.

here's to us being just fine. we're awesome people. we're ok. yay us!

Good thought, Raven, but let's change it from, "if I was feeling better, I would..." to.....

"I WANT TO..." (this sets us up in a more positive way, rather than the "ifs"!)

I want to....

... laugh more

... panic less

... get back to work

... go hiking

... read for leisure

Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain!

If I were feeling good - I would do a lot of things. Wait a minute - I do them anyway. Why wait til you are feeling good - you want to feel good - do them now.

So, what do I do to feel good.

I play the piano. I go out to play the piano and play at Gilda's club. I even p[lay for groups of people sometimes.

I go to the gym. I go to get healthy. Yes. But I go for me - to feel good and to meet people and to see people and to talk to people and to think about things other than my problems.

I join clubs and organizations where people meet and talk to each other. These help me to not dwell on my problems.

I go out to eat - not fancy as often as I can afford it. I like to eat, and it is a change of location and people and it mekes me feel good, and feel special.

etc.

respectfully, Raoul

I Want to:

Go out of town more and not be afraid

Quit worrying

Live each day for what it holds not live in the future or the past

Quit thinking about my health

not be afraid to take chances
