Mainly because my thyroid has actually been wonky over the years. One year it will be at the point where the doc is thinking, okay, there's a bit of a problem here, and then the next year it will be back down again. I seriously had several years in a row where my TSH levels kept climbing, almost to the point we were considering meds. So my doc decides to do a more in-depth thyroid panel, and everything came back normal on that one. Go fig... I remember being in your shoes, being afraid to leave my house, curling up in a ball and just crying my out, begging for help. You need to find a way to make it to the doctor and make sure he LISTENS to you. Tell him exactly what is going on and how you feel. Medication is probably the answer for you for now until you can feel better enough to deal with panic disorder....
