alright so i was only 5 days late for my depo, but suddenly i started bleeding, cramps. As the days went by it continued with the pains getting worse in my abdomen,it is now two weeks later.Still bleeding the pains are god aweful, almost tearing like at night.Lower back pains, gas is unbelievable in my adomen, and pressure.Doctors keep loading me up on pain meds which isn't what i want.I want an answer.Had an ultrasound done on ovaries and uterus,a regular on my skin, came back normal.I am starting to get scared because its getting worse, the pains, everything.Blood clots in the toliet started off as pea size, some are the size of a nickle. I'm only 25,but my question is,could the ultrasound not showed everything? Could it be ovarian cancer? I read it starts suddenly and I have every syptom of it but the frequency i have to pee, which is all the time but i had that problem after kids.Any ideas ?

Hi Kayla and welcome. Sorry for the late answer. Did you ask for a CA125 blood test? This test is still not difinitive but could at least rule it out. Ovarian cancer is so hard to detect. My mother died of ovarian cancer as did my grandmother, so I had vaginal ultrasounds and CA125's drawn for a couple years until I finally had a complete hysterectomy. Those 2 tests are the only tests I know of to check for ovarian cancer unless you can talk your doc into a ct scan.

Your symptoms could be so many other things so try not to worry too much. Yes, they are troubling symptoms but may not be ovarian cancer at all. I would keep insisting on answers though. Keep me posted and good luck hun.

Hugs,

Hi Kayla,

Your symptoms aren't typical of ovarian cancer and can easily be explained. Depo consists of a hormone progesterone. When you are taking progesterone and you stop it the lining of your uterus begins to shed. It's called withdrawal bleeding. It may seem like alot of blood but the body copes well with heavy vaginal bleeding. If youur soaking a pad an hour you should go to the ER. Other causes could be fibroids (benign tumors in the uterus), miscarriage or even hypothyroidism. However, listen to your body. If you don't feel well and feel your not getting the right answers from your doctors seek another opinion. You could see a gyn oncologist for a CA125 and CT scan like the other post mentioned or another gyn. Hope you feel better.

Kayla,

I had those symptoms. You may have a tilted womb and an issue with fybroid tumors. Fybroid is troublesome but not malignant.

I had six miscarriages before my first live birth. I had nine pregnacies and I have 3 children.

You should see your GYN. I wouldn't be too worried at this time.
