I am not much of a fan when I get oral herpes on my upper lip. Normally I just get one, I treat it and then move on. Did I mention these things are UGLY? In the past I've treated them with Abreva (what a waste of money for a small tube of nothing!) and even tried letting the OH heal on their own. (Not fun at all!) A while ago I went to my OBGYN and she subscribed Valtrex for me. Let me tell you, this stuff works wonders!! Smile A refill at the store is a little pricey, but sure as heck works for me. I am in day 3 of my treatment and they are not as bad as they've been in the past. Gotta love Valtrex!

Anywho ... what have you used and what do you think about it?

I'm an Advocate

For the oral outbreaks, Valtrex seems to work effectivly. I have to start it as soon as I start to feel an outbreak coming on, but as long as I do it works well.
