Oppositional Defiant Disorder Support Group

I have a great deal of rage from my parents and a 20 year marriage gone south. I have been divorced for ten years. This rage frightens people and the police are called. I always lose. I had no idea until now that the problem was medical. I can see clearly now the difference between Bi-polar-II symptoms, the anxiety, the panic attacks, and the obsessive need to defy people. I feel better just sorting it all out.

welcome. are you doing anything to try and manage your condition?

just recongizing that the issues are there and what they are causing is step # 1 and is great that you recognize it on your own.

are you seeing a psych dr. or on any meds?

It is as a shame that you were not able to get care before the ODD and bipolar caused so many issues in your family life but it is not too late.

Welcome to the group. I talked with my sons pdoc about having ODD as an adult. She said yes, however its called something else. Now of course I need to remember what that was. I will post an article about it when I get the info. In the meantime did you also check out the group for BP. I know you mentioned BP (2). However, just the little bit that you said reminds me of me. I am BP (1). Well good luck to ya...i will keep you posted. I am finally getting my internet back on tuesday.
