Hi iam new here and i just wanted to say i am here because last thursday the 10th of july i found out my 5 yr old has OCD and ADHD!! I knew he had OCD and everything he does is normal to me now, but when it was first happening i kind of knew thats what it was..We had anticipated the ADHD as he also has neurofibromatosis 1 and we were told by the neurologist that some children with NF 1 do have ADHD! Right now iam in limbo as we have to wait now to see his primary care dr, which will be a week from monday,We were diagnosed by a neurophsycologist(?) im not sure what her title was but she was some kind of specialist. anyway this is our story,if anyone can give me any help it would be appriciated!! On a side note, we are a semi poor family, so i get state insurance so medical bill are paid and now that we have a diagnosis the Children with special health needs program through my states dept of health will help me pay a sitter so i get a break every once in a while |
