Obesity Support Group

I've been away from the forum for a long time. A lot has been going on but I'm hopeful that we're in lull right now

Could someone catch me up? Are we still doing weekly weigh-ins, biggest loser contest, etc?

My current stats: started my weight loss journey at 255 pounds. I'm down to 214, for a loss of 41 pounds!

Short-term goal: lose another 15 pounds before July 18th of this year. My husband and I are renewing our wedding vows and I'd love to weigh less than 200...even if it's just by one pound!

Long-term goal: get to a maint. weight of 175lbs. All the weight/height charts say I should weigh less than that, but I feel as though that would be a healthy weight for me. I'll reevaluate as I get closer to that goal.

Congratulations on your weight loss, YOU'RE DOING TERRIFICALLY!!!

Regarding the weigh ins, I'm not sure if we are still doing them. Sonni, the group leader, will be better able to answer that one.

Our weights are similiar, I just broke the 200 barrier, now I get my Ipod! I like to set goals and rewards for achieving them.

What is your next goal and what is your reward?

My next goal is to lose 15 additional pounds by July 10th I don't know about a reward...hmmmm, I will have to think about that one! I would say the reward would be buying a new dress for when DH and I renew our wedding vows on July 18th....but, I'm gonna buy a new outfit anyway...LOL.

That sounds LIKE A TERRIFIC REWARD, renewing your vows how fantastic! I'm certainly excited for you to be celebrating such a momentous occasion!
