I have to admit I'm not comfortable with my weight. I would like to lose more weight, 30-40 lbs. So thats my goal but I don't have a deadline or specific time to reach that, just taking it 1 day at a time.

I'd like to lose weight. Intellectually, I understand why I am as overweight as I am. With the fibromyalgia, it's really hard to get enough exercise. And I have all of these LOVELY food cravings (chocolate, sausage, cheese, etc.). Why couldn't I crave broccoli, fish, and apples!? But to get to my ideal weight, I would need to lose one hundred pounds. So, no, I'm not happy about my weight. I love who I am on the inside. I'm trying very hard to talk very nicely to myself so I don't get too depressed about it. But I would much rather be healthy, not overweight.

Beloved Father God,
Help me befriend those who are lonely,
Help me comfort those who are hurting,
Help me do battle against the darkness,
And help me lead the way to You.
In Jesus' name, amen.

Hi Heather,

I have the same problem as you...I have Fibro also and neesd to lose 100 pounds. If you come up with any ideas please let me know. By the time I leave work at 5pm everyday I am ready to head home to bed because of pain and tiredness. It seems I have metabolism anymore but at 44 yrs old I don't know how much to expect...

Linda

I am comfortable with who I am. I don't like to be overweight but I have been tthrough enough therapy and self evaluation to have gotten to the point that I don't dislike my self just because I'm not happy with every aspect of my appearance. That alone has helped me in that at the point I was really able to do that I stopped gaining wieght even if I haven't really lost any.
