Well I thought I would start the January night eating thread.

I made it through my first wake up last night, but caved and had yogurt and fruit on the second one. I think around 220 cals. I would like it to be much lower than this.

I feel utterly huge today. Huger than in a long time. I am just looking at this as a fresh start. I will try to eat balanced today. I am def not weighing in for awhile. I have alot of work to do before that. I know it will only depress me more. I realize my portions have been out of control and I think that is my problem. Along with bad eating habits in general.

have a good day everyone.

My night was blaaaaah with a side of blaaaaaaaaaaaah. For some reason I got into some uncooked dough!!!! EW!!!! idk what my problem is lately but I need to fix it. I am starting to get a little discouraged, but I think I will feel better when I get back on track. This is starting to make me sad.

We can get better!!! Oh my gosh, rawraider, I just got my nanogreens in today. (The powder stuff made from freeze dried organic vegetables.) I LOVE IT SO MUCH. It looks a little gross when I mixed it, but I definitely don't eat enough veggies in my day so it's a decent supplement for what I'm missing out on. I felt an immediate boost of energy and it's got all kinds of healthy things in it. I'm really happy and my daughter even likes it!! (It's safe for kids, but they just take half a scoop.) I just got my second wind and I do not feel bad anymore today! Time to go work out!

I feel like I may read overcoming NES again just to restart the thinking process. Sometimes that is all I need to begin feeling successful again.

This year I too seem to be getting back into some old habits. It seems I can not keep much food in the kitchen anymore.

I really need to figure out something different to do because what I am doing right now is not working!

I agree with you there. I keep trying and trying to find the answers or the keys to improvement and I keep sliding back and it is so frustrating. I have been really careless with my eating and have had a bit of the winter blues, and I've been using food to diminish it. That's a big no no for me, and so I am going to make a huge effort to get myself back on track. I'm going to go to the market today and stock up on some healthy fruits and veggies to cook. I am going to stay active, healthy, and maintain a positive outlook on life.

Negative thinking is a really toxic thing for me. One negative thought takes a toll on my day and it welcomes a lot more negative thinking into my life. And it seems like, the more negatively I think, the more negative my life becomes and I do not want that. I need to set a good example for my daughter and the ones I love who are in my presence every day. Even the most positive people can have bad times, but there really is no reason for me to be sad or depressed right now. There is so much to feel GOOD about and I need to keep reminding myself how truly blessed I am. Things may not be perfect, they never ever will be, but that doesn't mean I have to let the challenges of life bring me down. Pushing through them and improving makes me so much stronger every time. And anytime I'm on the edge of a break down, I'm also on the edge of a breakTHROUGH. So that's my goal... breaking through. Owning this life because it's mine, and my joy is my own responsibility.

I am right there with you, perpetually trying to break through! I know we BOTH will do it and we will do it soon. I dont think either of us are people who give up. It is hard for me to not be negative when I have a muffin top and I just keep on night eating. But my body is not everything. You are right about that.

I am trying to clean up my diet right now. The transition period is always hard. THere are many mistakes being made right now but I know they will lead me to eating the perfect way for me.

Eating healthy on a budget is not easy. There are so many things we need right now and I have to figure out how to afford everything.

I know we can do it. We need to keep our eyes on the prize!!!!!!!

Last night I really wanted a zero cal night. I am busting out of all my pants and know I can not afford for this to go on. Though I was determined I still had a few spoons of yogurt totalling 30 cals. If I could do that same thing every night, I would be happy. Sadly, I slept in till 5:30 and missed my workout time. Maybe later I will have a chance.

How did you do, Ash? Anyone else?

I would love to know how you accomplished a 30 cal night. Im so frustrated! I too am busting out of my pants, am so good during the day and then blow it at night. I need a way to get myself in better control and love the idea of lower calorie foods if I do eat at night.....

Well having the healthy food available is a good place to start. Do you have some choices?

I make sure to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner, too.
