My daughter decided to cut her hair---her first real haircut in 11 3/4 yrs!!! She cut 10" off for Locks of Love! Her new style is so cute---and her attitude is happy!

She told me she was ready to cut her hair and wanted to help someone else. She said she understood what it is like to be chronically ill and she is so blessed for her illness not to have altered her appearance, but she realizes there are other children w/illness' that do alter appearance and she wanted to donate her hair for the kids w/cancer and other illness' that cause kids to loose their hair! I am so proud of her!!!

Just had to share an AWWWWW Moment!!! It is nice to know she feels good about her decision....when your sick, anything that makes ya feel good about yourself is a boost!!!

Hugs,

That is so cool! For a girl that young, in so much pain, to realize that others can be feeling worse than she is is pretty amazing and very mature! Kudos to her!!!

Good for her! I am glad that she is becoming such a generous, empathetic young lady. I am glad she loves her new haircut too. It does help a lot to have little things like that to make you feel better even if you do still have to deal with pain.
