Hi there! My sister stumbled onto a page describing the diagnosis of NDPH yesterday and it sounds EXACTLY like what I have going on! It's been 11 months (the headache started around noon on Monday October 11th of 2010). I am more photosensitive than I used to be and my head hurts at varying levels of intensity all the time, often waking me at night with the pain. It is not really a migraine, but often feels like one. I lost my job because of all my sick time that I used, so I've been out of work since May. That's my story and I'm sticking to it Wink Nice to meet you all. I will post this in a forum asking about help/diagnosis as well.

Hi and welcome to the group, Your story so far sounds a lot like mine at the beginning of my headache (though I have light and noise sensitivity which makes mine rather migraineish). I know my exact date too (May 12, 2006) and about what time my headache hit even after all this time.

Again, welcome to the group. I will go look at your other thread now and probably have a lot to say there.

Welcome welcome! Sounds like you are staying positive--what a great outlook. I hope you find some relief soon. I also get wildly varying pain. Sometimes it is many times worse than other times. It definitely gets exacerbated by work. Wish I was strong enough to call it quite but I just can't bring myself to do it. Someday it'll come to it though. I'll respond on your other thread. Best wishes.

Thanks Kate, I'll respond to your post and Mary's on the other forum when my head doesn't hurt as badly, but a glance tells me you both wrote some very helpful info. I appreciate it. Cheers Jason

Hi Jason and welcome! From your description it certainly sounds like you have NDPH! I generally describe my pain to people as 'like a migraine all the time' but it is a little different to a migraine. I also have light and noise sensitivity.
