This is such a great idea! I've had a daily headache since I was 5 y/o and I'm now 61. I haven't gone through this forum yet, but I hope it takes off. I thought I was the only one in the world with daily, nagging, painful, etc., etc., headaches!

Welcome to the group, You are not the only one in the world dealing with a constant horrible headache, though I haven't had mine nearly as long as you have had to deal with yours (mine is only nearing 4 years now).

What sort of things have you found over the years to help decrease the pain or help you cope with yours? I have found a hat and sunglasses helps me since I am light sensitive and I keep earplugs in my purse in case things get too loud for me.

My neuro and I have also found some meds that help reduce the pain for me (topamax and seroquel are my best meds) though it seems that everyone responds very individually to meds so we can't predict what will help any given person.

Feel free to explore and ask any questions you have and definitely share you experience.

Hi Corri and welcome!

You certainly have had a headache for a long time Sad I'm sure for most of your life the doctors have had no idea what to do for you, it seems headache treatment has come along way in the last few years! What kind of things have you tried over the years?

My headache is nearing 3 years now so I think you are incredibly brave to have been dealing with it for so long Smile I have found Cymbalta and Seroquel useful in lowering my pain. But I also use things like icepacks and earplugs to help me out.

I hope to talk to you more soon, and please ask any questions you have.

Hi Corri - how have you managed to live with your daily headaches and remain sane. I've had mine for almost 4 years and I am kind of starting to get discouraged, nothing has helped yet. Any suggestions on how to cope on day to day basis. Thanks for any tips.
