I apologize for not being as active on here the last month or so as I usually have been. Of the last 22 days, 16 have been days of 4 or above on the pain scale maxing at 5. I was in the ER both last Thursday around 2 am and Friday around 2 pm. I started school, I have a half day. This is the 3rd week of school, and yet I have only been able to attend 3 days. My next appointment at MHNI was originally scheduled for the first week in October but because of the recent severity I went today. They did a slight change in meds and brought up the inpatient program once again. Yes I have gone through that process once before but as I have tried many other things in an outpatient way and actually gotten worse over time, they believe that with the added information they have now that they didn't last time they may be able to do something. It isn't something I am too keen on pursuing. Tomorrow I see a Reiki master to try that alternative route. This person wants to help so much that this initial visit will be free and if it is something we want to continue we can. My mother is also finding and scheduling an allergy test just to make sure there is nothing there that could be causing issues. Well that is the update. Good wishes to everyone and be glad this isn't as long as most of my posts tend to be. Tongue

Wow, sorry to hear that things are going so badly for you right now. I hate the ER, I can't imagine having to go twice in such quick succession. I am not surprised they are talking about inpatient again when you have that level of pain.

I hope that something with the med change, the alternative route, or the allergy stuff helps some so that maybe you won't have to do the hospital thing again, or that if you do you get better success this time around.

Post updates when you feel up to it, we all understand completely if it takes a while. Sending you lots of hugs and good wishes.

Ellenelle,

I'm sorry to hear of your increased pain, especially with school newly started. I hope whether you do an inpatient stay again or with your med change you get some relief. Also, when you feel up to it, let us know how the reiki session goes and if it made you feel any better. I hope so! >>hugs<<

My advice is purely personal. I am not a Doctor and nothing I say should be a substitute for getting proper medical diagnosis and advice.

Ellenelle,

I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through with the increase pain. I truly hope and pray that it will improve soon for you. Please let us know how reiki goes when you have a chance. I've done it many times - while I can't say it has impacted my pain - I do find it deeply relaxing and a great way to take a break and try to gain some peace which is so important. Best of luck.

Wendy
