MDJunction to me

peasha"This has been one of the most supportive places I have ever been. I found MDJ by mistaking looking for drs to help me with my many health issues and since that day over a year ago I have found a tight nit little family that keeps me going when the times are tough and offers me a place of retreat to share my successes and failures with others. I get to see the humor and seriousness of what I experience as well as the resources to learn about my health conditions. Thanks MDJ" (peasha)

First the good news.

I just washed dishes for the first time since March 18th last year, with the faucet fully running without experiencing severe pain. Yeah! Thank G-d, this is a Major Improvement for me.Tongue

Now the bad news. Yesterday, I had to cancel my vacation to visit family and friends when the migraine I had did not respond to meds. I planned this trip and was really looking forward to it since last April. Sad

Hi MJ,

I'm so sorry about your vacation plans. You deserve that vacation - I hope if this time doesn't work out you're able to schedule another very soon to see your family and friends. How is your migraine today?

Does the water from the faucet impact your headache pain or do you have pain in your body too? I'm so sorry if that's the case b/c dealing with pain on top of the headache/neck issues is just crazy. I think it's so awesome that you're able to recognize and celebrate your victories and improvements!! Sometimes it's hard to keep perspective on that when you're still battling pain and it seems that you do a great job keeping it all in perspective. Take care!!

Sorry your vacation plans had to be cancelled, MJ. Do you have an appointment to see your neurologist? It seems your headache is not under control lately, perhaps you need a med adjustment? I hope something helps you soon.

My advice is purely personal. I am not a Doctor and nothing I say should be a substitute for getting proper medical diagnosis and advice.

Thanks WendyLou for your empathy and complement.

I noticed that my headaches can generate neck pain and the arthritis in my neck or muscle spasms in my neck can generate or exacerbate headache pain. Kind of a Ying/Yang deal.

Thanks for your concern drmeows. My headaches generally get worse in the summer because of the heat, humidity, and my personal favorite drops in atmospheric pressure. Thunderstorms can really throw me for a loop. We had a two months of almost daily thunderstorms in May and June. I was in orders and horizontal for most of that time. Fine of your a bear and it's winter. Not so great if your two-legged mammal.

I see my headache specialist September 3rd.

take care,

MJ
