MDJunction to me

jaguarandcubs"MDJ is an integral part of my everyday life. Since joining in 2010, I have met so many amazing people. It is truly incredible to be able to share good times and not so good times with others who face the same health challenges. And MDJ has support groups for every condition I have. I don't know of anywhere else that can offer that. I love that I can learn from others as well as offer my own experiences for others to learn from." (jaguarandcubs)

Curious study shows that cursing increases pain tolerance. Who'd have thought?

So, think back to your teenage years and fire up those explicatives the next time the headache demons attack Wink

Interesting.

Just be careful about who is around you since they didn't study the effects on surrounding people!

that's quite insightful. Maybe you should help them do a follow up study.

I've actually heard about this swearing thing somewhere else. I think there was a study that said co-workers who swear amongst each other have a tighter bond and less hostility between each other or something like that. So kill two birds with one stone I guess...curse with your co-workers when you have a headache. Smile

I was diagnosed with Occipital Neuralgia and variant form migraine in December 2007. This was after years of searching for an answer. I can remember having pretty bad headaches as a teenager, and then one car wreck at age 20 and another at age 21 sealed my fate. I've seen just about every type of medical specialist, and I've tried non-traditional things too. First nerve decompression surgery was in August 2008. Second nerve decompression surgery was in September 2010.
