I'm 16 years old and desperate for an answer. For a week now I've been having a headache that just wont go away. If I shake my head it feels like my brain is rattling inside of it. What does this mean????

Hi,

I am so sorry that you are dealing with this at such a young age. Have you been able to get in with your doctor? It might be time to get a reffereal to a neurologist.

Is this your first headache? If so, you should definitely call your dr. If it doesn't improve, you might need to get it checked out at the ER. (I hate ERs and rarely reccomend them, but it might be an idea in your case, especially since your head hurts with movement.)

Please talk to your fr asap.

Let us know how thing go.

pain free days,

sailingm

I second the "time to see the doctor" recommendation. Try not to panic, but do see a doctor about it so they can rule out anything bad and try to find a solution. There are lots and lots of things that can cause headaches, some serious and some extremely easy to fix (dehydration comes to mind). The hard part is pinning down what is causing yours and you need a doctor (and probably some tests run) to do that. Let us know how things turn out and I hope you feel better very soon.
