You and me both. Everything you said fits my symptoms too. I think perhaps some people with NDPH have migrainous symptoms too.

Hi Suwei, Welcome to the forum. It can be terribly confusing to try to figure out what diagnosis fits better when even your doctors don't agree. I have the pattern typical for NDPH in that I know exactly what day my headache started (really I can pin it to within an hour or two). I am more like a migraine because I have light and sound sensitivity and I sometimes get nausea. My neuro solved this little puzzle by giving me both diagnoses for what feels to me like the same headache.

I was going to say that I don't have vertigo, but then I thought about it and I may have some very mild symptoms (for instance I don't throw pottery as well as I used to...I can't seem to keep it centered well now). Some of the medications I tried made me extremely dizzy so I don't know if it is the headache itself now, or if it is my meds, but it isn't bad for me at this point. I hope yours improves. You are not the first person I have heard of who has vertigo along with their headache, so it certainly can happen even without meds being involved at all.

Anyway welcome to the board. I think you will find a lot of people here who can relate.

Hi suwei,

welcome Smile Yeah, I have dizziness with the headache too. But not very bad. I have had it before, but I was on medications then and it might have been caused by the drugs. Now I donīt take any medications anymore and the dizziness is completely different. When I lie down and shift my position, I might suddenly have the impression of falling out of the bed. Or when I lean over the world is swirrling in circles.

But this is still rather rare and not too bad.

I hope, your dizziness and headache will improve or better vanish soon.

Good luck with the doc!

Hello Suwei,

Welcome to the forum. It's frustrating to receive different diagnoses! My husband also experienced vertigo on occasion. It seems to happen less often now than when his headache was newer but still happens. I hope you can get an accurate diagnosis, but more importantly, get a treatment plan that relieves you.

My advice is purely personal. I am not a Doctor and nothing I say should be a substitute for getting proper medical diagnosis and advice.
