MDJunction to me

Macv"For me, MDjunction has been a place where I can share my experiences
living with the very rare bone disease called Ollier's ( Enchondromatosis ) with the parents of children recently diagnosed. I can help them not to run
into the pitfalls my parents did when I was young, give them a bit of a view
from their child's perspective and simply be there to offer support and
hope to people who are scared and just had their lives upended. I also belong to a chronic pain group and it's been a Godsend to be able to actually
talk with others who understand what I'm dealing with. Besides them helping me through my tough times, I can be there to help them as well. Here too, I can use my years of experience to help others avoid pitfalls and it makes me feel good, gives my life more purpose. MDjunction brings people
together when their suffering, at their darkest and feeling alone in this world and allows some light to be brought back into their lives. HOPE, that's what
MDjunction means to me!

Thanks for the link! Its great when there is actually research/articles on this condition. I still haven't seen any top specialists report about Lyme though--seems they either aren't seeing those patients or only have a couple of them and don't believe it. We've seen quite a few folks here who have responded to that treatment.

I think I'm in that auto immune category as my cytokines were high and my doctors say my symptoms point in that direction. I haven't actually tried anti viral meds though, only the Minocycline & Singulair combo and Plaquenil, which some folks with conditions such as Lupus respond to (I think it has some anti viral type properties). I've also gone the pt & massage & relaxation & psych therapy routes too. But, I think my neck symptoms are stemming from me tensing because of the headache.

I read the whole article and found in interesting Dr. Rozen's patients weren't responding to standard preventatives but Dr. Goadsby's were. I have read of too many folks here whose neuro's don't try them on preventatives long enough, but that isn't typical nor would I expect that from a top specialist, so there has got to be some difference in sample size or definition of responding to or something. Best wishes.
